Indigo Mudcloth + Velvet Square Pillow Cover by Norwegian Wood
Indigo mudcloth and kilim patterned printed velvet, the perfect boho combo.
The velvet is a digital print of a photo of an antique rug from the collection of the Rijksmuseum...isn't technology amazing? This velvet is silky soft with a low pile and a slight luster. You get the beautiful handmade details of the antique rug with a super soft hand feel you can rest your face on.
Due to the handmade and vintage nature of the indigo fabric used in this pillow, there will be slight variations or imperfections in the weave, repairs, etc, and we consider this to be part of the beauty of this fabric. You can really see the handmade nature of the textile as well as its history...made with love!
PLEASE NOTE: This indigo is handwoven and hand dyed, so no two pillows will have the exact same indigo pattern, but the shade/darkness of the indigo will be very similar to the one shown above. This is part of the beauty of living with rustic handwoven/hand dyed textiles!
The back of this pillow is made from a high quality unbleached 100% linen fabric.
The finishing touch: a rose gold zipper made in Los Angeles at one of the last zipper factories left in the USA.
Made in Los Angeles, California, by Norwegian Wood.
MEASUREMENTS: The pillow case measures 20" x 20". We used a 20" x 20" Ikea pillow in our photos. We find that sizing up 1-2" gives you a fuller look.
PLEASE NOTE: This listing is for the PILLOW COVER ONLY. Why? Well, pillows forms are big and bulky, which makes the shipping cost go WAY up, and nobody likes that! It's actually much more cost effective for you to buy your pillow filling locally. That way you can choose the exact quality you want to buy (feathers vs. polyfil) or maybe you even already have one at home that you'd like to reuse!
CARE: Gently hand wash (not in a machine) or dry clean, hang to dry. All fabrics have been pre-washed so will not shrink or bleed, however machine washing or drying is not recommended.
